Freebie of the Month
Traffic Building Tips
It is a bit early for April's freebie but since there was none for March I couldn't wait to announce next the exciting traffic building tips enclosed within this little book that is short but still very comprehensive nonetheless and with 20 ways to build traffic to your site, this book is definitely a guide I would recommend any day.

Linuxbootup project
We are pleased to announce a new project to merge with our Linux guide, Linuxbootup!
The site is expected to be complete around mid June and as for now only hosts and introduction to the project.
A few changes made and yet a few coming
For those familiar to Housebaked will have noticed that there have been some minor changes to the home page. I was mailed by a number of people now asking what exactly is Housebaked about so I figured my previous message must have been unclear. Hopefully the description is a bit more descriptive this time :) .
There are yet a few changes that I'll be making to several other pages on site, but they are all for good rather than bad.
Our Freebie of the Month has been moved to the top to make it more visible and encourage more downloads. Statistics show that it has been missed in the past.
Status update
Alright, I know I promised a review of openSUSE 11.0 Alpha 3 last week, but due to some circumstances (continues failed attempts at installation) I couldn't do the review. What has been done in the meanwhile however is that we've updated TLG and fixed certain rendering issues that have been reported.
My next distribution (probably Mandriva Spring 2008.1) review will most-likely be within one and a half weeks or so due to the bandwidth restricted connection I'm on. If all goes well I'll hopefully be able to say that I love the new KDE - since that's the primary reason I opted to download openSUSE 11.0 in the first place. In the meanwhile I'm researching for an article I'm working on and you might see some minor reviews as well.
openSUSE 11.0 Alpha 3 Installation Fails...
After downloading openSUSE for a review and to experience the KDE 4 hype I tried installing it with my virtual machine (VirtualBox) with no success when the installation decided to come to a halt when probing for hard disk controllers. I waited around 20 - 30 odd minutes with no success. Not to worry however, I plan opening up a partition for openSUSE this weekend and install it on a real environment.
